Sylvia Wood has over twenty five years’ experience in human resources and employment relations.
Sylvia is a generalist with in depth experience in employment relations and the gamut of human resources including restructuring, personal grievance management, mediation, exit strategies, performance management, disciplinary processes and union negotiations. She has extensive experience in interventions to improve employee engagement, large scale change management, organizational review and strategic planning.
She has a wealth of experience advising employers during buoyant economies, flat markets and during times of recession.
Sylvia’s background in HR includes senior management roles in FMCG and the IT sector. She established a consulting practice in 1989 providing advice to NZ corporates, central and local government organisations and private sector businesses. Recognising that small to medium sized businesses need the same level of advice as larger organisations she established Knowhow Limited in 2000.
